Sam Trattles is the driving force behind Other Side, where we help smart Australian leaders overcome the hurdle between knowing and asking – transforming how they approach key conversations in the classroom, the living room, and in the boardroom.

With a distinguished corporate background, Sam held senior leadership roles in marketing and sponsorships across multiple industries including business, sport, music, the arts and for-purpose organisations in Australia and the UK.

Sam has negotiated over $575M worth of deals, cementing her as a sought-after authority in the field of strategic negotiation and relationship-focused communication.

She’s the author of two bestselling books, “I Love Negotiating” and “Negotiate Your Worth”, practical guides to negotiating better outcomes in work and life.

Sam created The Other Side Way Methodology because she discovered that smart leaders don’t struggle with clarity – they struggle with confidently asking for what they want without seeming pushy or aggressive.

Sam is not just a negotiator, she’s a catalyst for change, she’s on a mission is to see negotiation skills included in the national school curriculum, and to empower all Australians to confidently ask for what they want, need and deserve in any situation.
